President Trump said on Tuesday that he is “Tariff Man,” and will “not hesitate to raise tariffs on China if it does not agree to change its trade practices.”
….I am a Tariff Man. When people or countries come in to raid the great wealth of our Nation, I want them to pay for the privilege of doing so. It will always be the best way to max out our economic power. We are right now taking in $billions in Tariffs. MAKE AMERICA RICH AGAIN

With a clear statement, “MAKE AMERICA RICH AGAIN”, Donald Trump wanted to send a powerful message to America trade competition.
On the other hand, people on Twitter were not so enthusiastic about his statement and they quickly filled his tweet with responses in the same direction: “It’s Americans who end up paying those tariffs”.
you dolt, every dollar in tariffs is a tax on the American people, particularly consumers. Or do you not bother to read a high-school econ textbook on the subject, let alone convene a council of competent economic advisors?

Just curious… who do you think ends up paying for tariffs?
