Canada and the millionaire business of marihuana cultivation in Colombia


During 2018 some Canadian companies decided to invest millions of dollars to take leadership in therapeutical cannabis business buying Colombian land and making strategical alliances with local businesses as the country has “the best conditions for marihuana growth”.

Colombian producers are now celebrating Canadian arrival to the country and fearing the North-American country takes control of all existing production.

Michael McCune, expert on cannabis production sees Colombia as a “potencial leader in cannabis industry and that’s the reason why Canada is bringing here the best cannabis experts and technology”.

In August this year, Canadian company Avicanna, specialized in canabinoids technology and production bought 60% of Santa Marta Golden Hemp and now has access to more than 20 certified acres and keeps expanding.
