Around 35,000 people get infected by HIV virus every year in the United States in striking contrast to the early days of HIV. Around 1.1 million Americans have HIV and nearly 15% of people don’t know they have it yet. HIV/AIDS virus has killed more than half a million people in the United States.
Statistics show how anyone who practices unsafe sexual intercourses is in risk of contracting the virus. Five states make the most diagnoses in the country. California, Florida, Texas, New York and Georgia are the most affected.
Condom use is the only deffense known to protect yourself from HIV. Today, World AIDS day, we would like to say that it’s better to have safe relations than a disease which costs on average $400,000 on treatments. United States is estimated to spend only on HIV programs more than $26 billion annually.
